About me
My name is António Eduardo Martins Palmeira and I am from Apúlia. The sea has always been close: my maternal grandfather was Patrão José António Faria Martins of Apúlia — the Apúlia lifeboat station (Estação Salva-Vidas de Apúlia) and a square in the village bear his name.
I lived and worked in Germany for 25 years. I came back home, and today I work in a warehouse in Apúlia, my workshop, where I make boat models — catraias (barco poveiro), caravels and naus —, signs and illuminated signs (letreiros e reclames luminosos), and resin miniatures, 3D-printed on my Anycubic Photon.
You may already know some of my work without realising it: I made the nativity silhouette on the church wall in Apúlia and the well-known blue nativity scene on the wall of a white house near Apúlia beach, in Rua do Facho, passed by many Camino de Santiago pilgrims.
Workshop visits by appointment only. If you have an idea, get in touch.
